OBJECTIVE. DISTANCE THERAPY. Distance Psychological Therapy, understood as psychological therapy via telephone, email, chat applications, video call programs, has proven therapeutic efficacy similar to conventional face-to-face therapy in a large percentage of cases. Nevertheless, the professional attending your consultation must evaluate if this modality is appropriate for you, according to your psychological and emotional situation at the time of the consultation. If accessing this form of Distance treatment is not the most appropriate for you, guidance or referral to the type of professional suitable for your needs will be provided.

#BETTERTALK: It is composed of a group of professional psychologists with sufficient faculties to provide therapeutic services.

PATIENT: In order to be a patient of and use the services provided by #BETTERTALK, you must be over 18 years old and accept the terms and conditions established herein.

DURATION OF SESSIONS: The duration of the sessions will vary according to the therapeutic approach and type of therapy performed. According to professional criteria, the duration of the session can range from 50 minutes to a maximum of 60 minutes.

CANCELLATIONS: If you need to cancel the previously scheduled session, it is necessary to communicate this 24 hours before the agreed time between the patient and the professional by sending an email to info@mejorhablemos.us. If sufficient notice is not given, the psychological therapy session must still be paid for.

RESCHEDULING OF THE SESSION: If you need to reschedule the day or time of the session, you must notify 24 hours in advance, and a new day or time will be agreed upon.

ABSENCES: Unnotified absences will be considered as abandonment of treatment by the patient, resulting in the loss of the right to the previously paid sessions or the assigned time slot.

LOCATION: The sessions are conducted via video call and must be carried out in a safe environment for the patient. They cannot be conducted in environments where it is not possible to speak calmly or pay proper attention. Sessions are not accepted in places where the patient’s safety is at risk, for example, while driving a car, motorcycle, bicycle, or any vehicle that endangers physical health due to not paying full attention to the action.

PAYMENT OF SESSIONS: Payment will be made up to 24 hours before the start of the therapy session, through any of the payment channels mentioned on the Site. If the payment is not made within this period, the assigned time slot will be released, and a new day and time of the meeting will have to be agreed upon.

REFUND OF PAID MONEY: In case of session cancellation, a full refund is only possible if you have canceled at least 24 hours in advance and received confirmation from the professional and/or the #BETTERTALK staff. Otherwise, the amount paid will not be refunded. If applicable, the fees charged by the payment methods may be deducted from the refunded amount. To request a refund, an email must be sent to info@mejorhablemos.us.

CONNECTION OR COMMUNICATION FAILURES: The patient’s access and connection to telephone networks or the internet for conducting the psychological therapy session is the exclusive responsibility of the patient. #BETTERTALK is absolved from all types of problems generated due to the patient’s internet connection. If there are connection problems on the part of the professional, due to failures of any kind in any of the networks, the patient must wait for a period of five (5) minutes. If communication is not reestablished, the session will be rescheduled for another convenient time or day.

MODIFICATION OF TERMS AND CONDITIONS: #BETTERTALK may modify these terms and conditions in whole or in part, so it is recommended to read them periodically. #BETTERTALK reserves the right to modify and/or adapt the present Terms and Conditions of Use when deemed necessary. The latest version of these Terms and Conditions of Use will be available on the site in the Terms and Conditions section, which you declare to know and accept each time you visit or use our services. You acknowledge having read these Terms and agree to them in their entirety. You commit to and guarantee #BETTERTALK and its professionals not to use #BETTERTALK for illegal, unauthorized purposes and/or that deviate from the statements of these conditions.

APPLICABLE LAW AND JURISDICTION: Any relationship generated by the visitor’s access to our Site between the visitor and the Site Owner and/or the relationship generated between the Site Owner and the registered patient will be governed and agreed upon in full compliance with the laws of the Argentine Republic, excluding any rule of its private international law system or that refers to the application of any law other than Argentine, waiving any other law you may be entitled to. Likewise, the Courts of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires will be competent to resolve any dispute or legal procedure arising between you and the Site Owner, whatever the cause of action or claim, with an express waiver by you of any other jurisdiction that may correspond.

VIOLATION OF RIGHTS, CONFIDENTIALITY, PRIVACY, AND PROFESSIONAL SECRECY: The recording of a session (images, sounds, texts, or any type of information exchange) by either party (patient or therapist) is strictly prohibited. In the case of misuse of this type of information, it will constitute a violation of authorized rights. For our part, the professional psychologists of #BETTERTALK commit to practicing their profession guided by the principles and rules of action contained in the Code of Ethics of the Federation of Psychologists of the Argentine Republic (FEPRA). Among these principles, «Professional Secrecy» governs the practice of psychology. It is understood as a «permanent obligation and right of silence that the psychologist assumes in the course of their professional practice, regardless of the professional relationship, field of activity, and type of service, regarding all that is known, intuited, perceived, or sensed concerning the persons consulting them or treated as patients, striving to be so discreet that neither directly nor indirectly anything can be discovered, thus preserving their privacy. The duty of professional secrecy will continue even after the professional relationship ends or the patient’s death.»

Read these Terms and Conditions carefully before requesting or using our services. If you do not fully accept these Terms and Conditions, we ask that you do not request or use our services. If you contact us to request our services, it will be understood that you have accepted these Terms and Conditions. The Terms and Conditions may be modified in whole or in part only by the Site Owner, and such changes and implementations will be effective from the moment they are published or inserted on the Site or from the time they are notified to you by any means, whichever occurs first. Therefore, we suggest you visit them periodically. Violations of the Terms and Conditions will give the Site Owner the right to suspend or terminate the provision of services to the patient who has committed them, by action or omission.
